My camera has been dormant for the past few days. I only leave the house when its time for dinner at the hawker area nearby. Well it’s Friday and I’ve done my work. It’s time to bring out the gears and take some Singapore landscapes!

I’ve researched, planned my stakeout area and got the results I wanted. The Marina Bay Sands, ArtScience Museum and the Singapore Flyer at sunset.

I decided to go on a solo tour around Singapore and I ended up in the Chinese Garden. I saw this lone turtle basking in the sun. Without a telephoto, I had to approach it as slow as I could. You can say I “turtled” my way to him. Shot this photo at 18mm so you get the idea how close I was to him. The place was so serene and calming I wish we have parks like this in the Philippines.

For all die hard fans of A Song of Fire and Ice/Game of Thrones(me included), check this out.

The Lands of Ice and Fire is a compendium collecting the first detailed and officially-sanctioned maps of the book and TV series’ world, from Westeros to the Summer Islands.

The maps will be drawn by the experienced, freelance cartographer Jonathan Roberts. Having seen his preliminary layout of Braavos based on a map from GRRM that was done quite early in writing A Feast for Crows and was consequently not entirely consistent with what he described in the novels, Roberts definitely knows what he’s about. Fans will have nothing to worry about as far as the quality of the presentation and illustration goes.

So awesome.
